nadia comăneci, montréal olympics (1976)

at the age of 14, comăneci became one of the stars of the 1976 summer olympics in montreal. her routine on the uneven bars was awarded a perfect ten. it was the first time in modern olympic gymnastics history that the score had ever been awarded. since the scoreboards were not equipped to display scores of 10.0, nadia's perfect marks were flashed as 1.00 instead. over the course of the olympics, comăneci would earn six additional tens. she also holds the record for being the youngest olympic gymnastics all-around champion ever.

the coolest reception desk ever made was produced by twisted image for boys & girls creative agency in dublin.

a new type of rubber composite was used to fabricate this genuinely air-tight permanent hot air balloons. then they were filled with an heluim/hydrogen hybrid gas which has an atomic weight 150 times lighter than helium alone. ribbons reinforced with carbo-titanium were used to secure the table top to the balloons.
